As most of you know, the universe is pretty old. Even the earth is generally – notwithstanding some of the wackier religious views – understood to be fairly old. In our context, this means two things.

Remember those little things we mentioned way back in June? Well, despite some effort there still seem to be more of them. We’re into summer vacation/holiday fun time and the car build delays that creates but we’re getting through them…just perhaps not as quickly as we might.

We were holding off and hoping we’d have a big announcement, like world peace or the motor starting, but instead we decided to focus on the little things.

It’s been a while but we can report what looks and smells like actual progress! We’re all very excited over here.

When we last left our heroes there were a substantial number of Talon parts on the floor and in boxes, waiting for their chance to be attached to a real, gen-u-ine race type car. Well, we’re happy to say that we have removed the unsuitable and the haters (yes we’re talking to you, broken bolts) and are creating a hit parade of classic parts plus only the best new stuff from the 90s and beyond.

The title refers to the fact that it was a mite chilly at the shop these past few weeks. Despite that, though, we did get some work done.

How did you spend your holidays? Did you spend time in a large, essentially unheated and uninsulated building with concrete floors, using tools and handling parts that sucked the heat of your hands through gloves? Well, we did! Welcome to the glamorous world of grassroots racing.

Aw yeah! Yes, actual, bonne fide progress has been made. The car looks like most of a car. All the important parts are in the same area code. Yep, we are happy about this.

The one where great horrors are revealed and then, like in the best families or a Dr. Who episode, are removed by fire and replaced with shiny new soulless perfection.
